About Me...

My Story
Sonya Bacon‑McKay is a contemporary illustrator and artist based in Ballinderry, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland. A graduate of the University of Ulster, she turned her lifelong passion for art into a business in 2018 after owning two successful bridal boutiques in South WestEngland .
Sonya first caught widespread attention for her poignant tribute to Queen Elizabeth II and Paddington Bear, shared following the Queen’s passing. That illustration quickly went viral and led to a series of illustrated baubles—each ornament telling its own story with intricate detail .

Frequently Asked Questions
Shipping & Delivery
Every item in my portfolio is made in house once you place your order, I don't carry stock due to space. I shall of course endeavour to expedite your piece as hastily as possible but please keep in mind that in busier times this may be slightly slower due to work load. If you have an item that you would like me to consider for a speedy delivery please do send me a wee message via the site so we can have a chin wag and hopefully put a plan of attack into place.
Returns & Refunds
Items that are personalised are considered as bespoke and unfortunately are not available to return. If you have a piece that has not been personalised that you wish to return please do send me a message regarding your issue and we can arrange a resolution.
Product Care
All my pieces should be treated with the love and care that they deserve, here is a guideline but if you have further questions please do feel free to reach out.
PRINTS - larger pieces such as A2 will come rolled and in a postal tube, it is advisable to take them to a framer without unrolling to keep them from any damage.
MUGS - dishware safe so don't waste time handwashing!
WORKTOP SAVERS - made to save your lovely worktops so don't worry about using knives on them and better still...they are heat resistant meaning you can set hot objects on top too!
TEATOWELS - made from a microfibre and suitable for machine washing.
TOTE BAGS - I love the fact that you will be enjoying using my bags, so I am sure they will need a little freshen up at some point so pop it in the washing machine at a low heat.
DOORMATS - these are bound to get a bit of wear and tear but you can certainly either hose the insert or even pop it in the washing machine on a low wash for a wee freshen up.
